El Acuerdo 085 del Instituto Costarricense de Pesca y Acuicultura (INCOPESCA), emitido el 22 de febrero de 2013, reforma el Acuerdo AJDIP/036-2009 para reintegrar la Comisión Asesora Permanente denominada Comisión Nacional para Vedas. Esta comisión tiene el mandato de asesorar científicamente a la Junta Directiva de INCOPESCA en la emisión y modificación de vedas de especies marinas y acuáticas. Su conformación es interinstitucional y multidisciplinaria, integrando representantes de INCOPESCA, universidades públicas y la Unión de Pescadores, entre otros. La medida busca reactivar un mecanismo de gobernanza participativa para regular la explotación de recursos pesqueros mediante el establecimiento de vedas, en el marco de la Ley de Pesca y Acuicultura N° 8436. El acuerdo tuvo vigencia inmediata a partir de su publicación en La Gaceta y constituye un acto administrativo de reorganización interna del instituto, sin modificar directamente normativa ambiental sustantiva, pero incidiendo en la gestión de la biodiversidad marina.

THE COSTA RICAN INSTITUTE OF FISHERIES AND AQUACULTURE
