Español (source)Artículo 1º.- Derógase el inciso a) del artículo 7º de la Ley de Tierras y Colonización, Nº 2825 de 14 de octubre de 1961. Derógase asimismo el artículo 10 de la citada ley, que declara Parque Nacional la zona de dos mil metros a ambos lados del trazado de la Carretera Panamericana, en donde existan robles y que estableció el régimen restrictivo a que quedaron sujetas dichas áreas.
English (translation)Article 1.—Subparagraph a) of Article 7 of the Land and Colonization Law, No. 2825 of October 14, 1961, is repealed. Likewise, Article 10 of said law, which declares a National Park the area of two thousand meters on both sides of the Pan-American Highway route, where oak trees exist, and which established the restrictive regime to which such areas were subject, is repealed.

Artículo 1º.- Derógase el inciso a) del artículo 7º de la Ley de
Tierras y Colonización, Nº 2825 de 14 de octubre de 1961. Derógase
asimismo el artículo 10 de la citada ley, que declara Parque Nacional la
zona de dos mil metros a ambos lados del trazado de la Carretera
Panamericana, en donde existan robles y que estableció el régimen
restrictivo a que quedaron sujetas dichas áreas.

Artículo 2º.- Los poseedores que comprueban, mediante información
administrativa a tramitar ante el Instituto de Tierras y Colonización y
por los procedimientos legales vigentes, haber ejercido posesión decenal
en forma pacífica, pública e ininterrumpida y a título de dueños, tendrán
derecho a que se les conceda gratuitamente su respectivo título de
propiedad libre de honorarios y derecho de registro. El actual ocupante
tendrá derecho a aprovecharse de la posesión ejercida por su trasmitente
de conformidad con la ley.

Artículo 3º.- A las personas que no estuvieren comprendidas en los
indicado por el artículo 2º de esta ley, el Instituto de Tierras y
Colonización queda autorizado para traspasarles las parcelas localizadas
en la franja mencionada en el artículo 1º, mediante venta directa, sus
respectivos inmuebles, previo avalúo que hará dicha Institución y en el
cual no se incluirá el valor de las mejoras ejecutadas por el ocupante, a
quien se concederá un plazo de diez años para el pago de precio de la
tierra.

Article 10 of the aforementioned law, which declared the zone of two thousand meters on both sides of the Pan-American Highway alignment, where oak trees exist, a National Park and established the restrictive regime to which said areas were subject, is likewise repealed. Article Record Article 2.— Possessors who prove, through administrative proceedings (información administrativa) to be processed before the Institute of Lands and Colonization (Instituto de Tierras y Colonización) and through the legal procedures in force, that they have exercised ten-year possession in a peaceful, public, and uninterrupted manner and as owners, shall have the right to be granted their respective title of ownership (título de propiedad) free of charge, exempt from fees and registration rights. The current occupant shall have the right to benefit from the possession exercised by their transferor in accordance with the law. Article Record Article 3.— For persons not covered by the provisions of Article 2 of this law, the Institute of Lands and Colonization is authorized to transfer to them the parcels located in the strip mentioned in Article 1, via direct sale, their respective properties, subject to a prior appraisal (avalúo) to be conducted by said Institution and in which the value of the improvements (mejoras) made by the occupant shall not be included, who shall be granted a period of ten years for the payment of the land price.
